Ah awards season has begun in Hollywood! Which means frock watch has begun! Last nights Golden Globes were lovely. Not many dresses blew me away and the red carpet was a little lacking in colour with many actresses opting for nude tones. Angelina Jolie stole the show for me, so statuesque and beautiful with the most flawless makeup. I loved how she concentrated on the red lips which matched the fold of her dress perfectly. Clare Danes looked incredible, i will always think of Claire as Angela Chase in 'My So Called Life' so when she appears on the red carpet without Jordan Catalano on her arm wearing a plaid shirt I'm always surprised! And two of my favourite actresses didn't disappoint, Michelle Williams and Emma Stone looked beautiful and so pleased Michelle won Best Actress!!

Super Spot Remover: Origins

I have heard some good things about this product from Origins. This little £12 bottle of gel apparently attacks spots, takes out the angry red colour and works hard to get rid of the horrible little things as quickly as possible. Marie Claire's beauty editor says its one of her all time favourite products, now it must be good if a beauty editor is putting her name to it. Winter is kicking my skin's butt so I might give it a try.

Halloween is approaching and that means one thing, pumpkins! This is my favourite time of year, the weather is crisp and the colours are so vibrant and beautiful and it also means its time to carve a pumpkin and make pumpkin pie! I think pumpkins make amazing decorations for parties. Once Wed featured a wedding (one of my favourites!) which had pumpkins scattered from the ceremony to the reception it looked great and really original. I keep reading about 'the blow dry'. Before the world of straightener's, we all blow dried our hair into a style. Not now, its a case of, for me, tipping my head upside down and drying it roughly until i get the straightener's or tongs out. My friend Leah is done with her straightners and has been using Babyliss Big Hair tool which styles your hair 'big' while wet and the results look amazing! I read about the Blow Dry Masterclass at Charles Worthington which teaches you exactly how to blow dry your hair beautifully, recreating the stylist salon blow dry. Im thinking i need to book in for this, only £27 for an hour, one on one lesson, sounds like a good deal to me.

In two weeks I am flying to NYC for my friends wedding. I fretted and fretted over what to wear as a wedding guest. I've been to three weddings in my 28 years, the first i was a flower girl (outfit picked by the bride....i was about 8), the second and third I chose dresses that have not seen the light of day again. This time i was determined to get something I would wear again. So i picked this pretty lace dress from Topshop which i love and is completely wearable again and these nude high heels from Nine West. I really want to find a cream flower to put in my hair (much like the one in the picture) but I am having a nightmare trying to find one. I have fallen in love with The Hour. Its the BBC's latest drama and its amazing!! So slick and beautifully made, it has an air of Mad Men and The West Wing about it mixed with a huge dollop of British humour and style. It is set in 1956, in the BBC's newsroom 'The Hour'. The fashion (mainly worn by Belle) the shows twenty something producer is a mix of jewel colours and hourglass silhouettes, she is a more subtle Joan Holloway. And then there is Freddie whom my housemate and I have fallen completely in love with. His awkward, geeky intelligence is adorable..........ok I think I need to shut up and go watch another episode. A must see!!!

It's time for new glasses. I have had the same ones for six years now and I think it's time for a new set! Three of my favourite bloggers have drawn my attention to the three sets above. Poppy Disney who's WIWT is my favourite blog of the moment, bought her Oliver Deacon specs off the web and they look pretty good, I love the strong black frames! Taza who writes Rockstar Diaries described finding out she needed glasses like it was 'christmas morning!' she picked the gorgeous O'Connell glasses (which i really want!) Emily who blogs Cupcakes and Cashmere alerted me to to Chrystie Glasses which remind me of a pair Peggy would wear in Mad Men! Ah I cant wait to start trying some on!

Im thinking leather...... I have never owned a leather jacket, but today I felt drawn to them. I think it means I'm definitely over summer, its all about autumn/winter now. These are a few of my favourites that I have looked at online as there were only a small handful in the shops today. I think leather jackets are a little bit like denim jackets, they look amazing when worn in the right way, but they can also look really wrong. I think I would fall into the 'wrong' category at the moment having literally only tried on one leather jacket in my life, so time time to get researching before i jump on the leather bandwagon!

Mac have released a selection of limited edition Mineralize Eye Shadows. They are gorgeous and are apparently inspired by ethically mined minerals from Brazil. I love the look of these eye shadows, they look beautiful in the packaging (half the allure for me) and i imagine they can create a variety of looks due to the range of colours packed into one pot. From what i have read they all differ in texture so I think ill have to take a trip to Selfridges this weekend to have a look at them and try out a few shades!

Chanel have released their pre fallen Byzance Collection.........my god it's amazing. The limited edition 'Lumieres Byzantines de Chanel Palette' of which only 1500 were produced is impossible to get hold of as it was only released in selected Chanel Boutiques. It contains five creamy highlighter creams, yellow, white, pink, silver and bronze. I can only imagine the beautiful look it creates!!! For those of us who have not made it to this treasure there is a gorgeous 'Regard Signe de Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow Set' which has the Chanel Logo nicely stamped on each shade. It looks so luxurious and the colours are so rich, i would like this in my life and on my eyes!

Completely adore Bobbi Brown's new Tortoise Shell Collection. This beautiful collection is inspired by tortoise-shell glasses seen above....which i would very much like as my next pair of glasses! The mix of matte and shimmery textures is lovely and perfect if you want to go from a subtle day look to a dramatic, smokey night eye. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

Its a week since we we were at Glastonbury and i never thought i would miss it so much. We arrived to mud and to be honest the first night was filled with thoughts of ......can i do this? I had packed for sunshine and breezy summer days. I was very wrong. The rain came and it didn't leave us for two days. My wellington boots were my best friends as we dragged ourselves from stage to stage through the fields. One of my favourite gigs was a Mumford and Sons gig which was basically a mud bath, it was a fantastic night and the rain just added to the electric atmosphere. Some of my favourite parts of Glastonbury were skipping through the mud to Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You', wrestling with my wellington boots to get into the tent, changing channels and dancing around at the silent disco, covering my face with glitter and neon face paints over breakfast and sitting drinking cider looking out over all of Glastonbury. It was such an amazing experience and seeing the incredible Beyonce Knowles on the last night just made it even more special. I cannot wait to go back in 2013.....Glastonbury you were pretty darn great.

The ever fabulous ASOS alerted me to the make up range Lord & Berry. They describe themselves as 'a fashion house committed to constant research, innovation and design products to inspire self confidence in a woman's beauty.' Their products are used well used across the world on catwalk shows and photo shoots and are loved for their long lasting qualities as well as being affordable. I think their lip colours are really lovely and vibrant, especially the lip crayons shown above. Time to check out Lord and Berry!

So i have spent a small fortune on Glastonbury which is a mere 10 days away now!!!! I still feel like there is a million and one things to get before i go. So far i haven't listened to any of my rules since finding out we had tickets....only take old clothes......mmmmmm i have bought everything new in the lead up but lets breeze past that! So now i think i need a kimono, really??? I know i don't but i'm thinking this would be a good go to piece, throw on in times of outfit crisis, a cool breeze, extreme sun....must protect the arms from sun damage. I wish Glastonbury was here now, i'm too excited and my bank balance cant take much more.................

Ok so i'm nattering on about Glastonbury yet again....i apologise.......so this time i'm onto nails! I really want to get my nails done at Topshop's Wha Nail salon. I adore the bright carnival nail colours that were featured in this months Elle. However, i have now discovered the fruit salad trend that its very popular and available at Wha Nails and i'm now torn. Whatever i decide upon yellow is going to have to feature, how incredible are the banana nails!
